San Giusto Tournament 2026

The Città di San Giusto tournament is a historic event that represents not only the celebration of sport, but also a symbol of unity, commitment and friendship. Trieste, with its history, culture and beauty, offers the ideal setting to welcome talented athletes and many fans. With these words, San Luigi president Ezio Peruzzo presented the 33rd edition of the Città di San Giusto, one of the most important and long-standing football events organised in Friuli Venezia Giulia, scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday 11 April) and Sunday 12 April at the Via Felluga ground. Supported by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and the Municipality of Trieste and dedicated to the Under 14 category, the tournament features prestigious clubs such as Juventus, Fiorentina, Udinese, Venezia, alongside international teams like Red Star Belgrade, Kustosija from Zagreb and Olimpija Ljubljana, plus hosts San Luigi. In addition to Trieste City Councillor Elisa Lodi, Regional Councillor Fabio Scoccimarro was also present at the press conference. “San Luigi represents a model of sports management, built on solid foundations and authentic values. For over thirty years – he recalled – it has brought the best of youth football to Trieste, helping not only to develop sporting talent, but also responsible citizens. A commitment that deserves recognition from institutions and the entire community.” The tournament opens tomorrow at 9am with the match between San Luigi and Red Star. At noon the green-and-whites will face Juventus, while defending champions Venezia will meet Udinese at 11:15 and Fiorentina at 12:45.
